Because it's bogus. I talked to that kid a couple years ago. I don't believe he's ever actually had it metered, or if he did it didn't get out of the 140s. I can't remember, but I know that the story he gave me was real fishy.

I agree. number of subs doesn't impress me. Tell me the spl it hit, and where it was measured (windshield corner ala idbl, or seat position like IASCA SQ). And no guesses either.

I hate it when I hear comments like "It must be in the 150's cause my friend says it sounds louder then so and so's car that hit 145 db", or "It's loud enough to do this, move that, shake this, bla bla bla"

If you want to brag, get it measured so you have something to brag about.

Almost as bad as these ricers that think they have 14 second cars cause they passed a V6 Mustang on the street.

I wouldn't doubt it's loud as hell, but so is a tweeter with 100watts at 17,000hz.

I don't know if anyone else seen this or not but proof I really want to see is the TIMESLIP!! That guy is on crack is he thinks his car ran a 12.9 in the 1/4 with all the crap in his car! Here's what he said "Performance Modifications include: Hypertech Performance Chip, 3.73 gears, catalytic converters removed, Flowmaster muffler, Nitrous Works 125hp Nitrous Oxide kit, March Racing Pulleys. Best 1/4 mile time 12.9 with all the stereo in." It's at the bottom of the page in the "Z-Pictures"

retard!

He's a rice boy driving a GM, and that **** in his car looks tacky, the placement of the Vid screen and all. How queer.

If it ran a 12.9 with all that stuff in it, I wonder how fast it'd be without all the extra weight!

like i said before, i question a lot about this car. did he post his SPL numbers? none that i could find, i could be wrong though. Plus, mdf is heavy stuff. he's doing 12.9 in that thing with that little work on the car. no way. nope. plus, someone correct me if i'm wrong, but dont you use bigger boxes (and often ported) for SPL competition? so why would he only give his 10s .6 cu ft of sealed space? thats barely enough for most normal sealed 10s, let alone set up for spl comp. i could be waaaaay off. but until i see enough proof, i'm a skeptic.

well, actually, small sealed boxes work great for SPL as well. The tighter air cushion of a small box gives you more power handling. I have my 10's in .6 as well for SPL competition.

I dont understand why you would want to make a system
so loud.. in a car..
If its competition.. I dont suppose you can be in the car..
He should be on crack to be able to widstand all that noise..
And should have the world's best alarm to protect all
that waist of material lol
( just my opinion )

He probably couldn't run a 12.9 with just that equipment in the back of the car (no sub box). Add the subbox, batteries, wiring, and he would need a SERIOUS motor to pull it off.
