I also wanted to add that I personally don't think I would go with this setup. Tho it looks good from the backside but what about it you decided to upgrade in some way. With the subs being 12ohm they can only be used to gether in the set of 3. I've never been much a fan of MTX but that's another story. The prices was from $300-$400 and at that price you could buy a pair of 12W0's and a box and TOTALLY smoke that MTX tri sub setup. Then later if you want do make some changes in your setup you will have more flexablity.

i quess we are oposites. i am a big fan of mtx and i really don't like JL's.
dont get me wrong, they can punch and they are deep, but not my style. i like the mtx cuase they are deep, not as much though, and they hit precise, escepially the tens.
i really like the 6000 series trisub and already know the specs. i love that things.
i just wanted to know if anyone had but one in a thirdgen, the box looks like it would fit and i just wanted to see how it looks in the well.

Ok I'm kinda new to the audio thing but, I've heard MTX's and JL and JL's are way better. but also I've heard a 12 JL in a ported box running 250 watts and my new infinity reference in a sealed wif 225 watts hits wwwaaaayyyy harder. part of the performance could be box, install, etc. I just thought I'd get ya my preference. I liked mine till it got crushed in my 4th gen during the wreck, although, i'd probably have to say I liked my single 88100 Eclipse far better, never got to test its fit in my 3rd gen but i believe it would fit, here's the pic of it in my 94 and what happened to it.
Yea box got ruined and one sub got crushed.

Stuff the LT1 and 6 speed in your 3rd gen, buy a 4th gen and work on it and you'll regret it, i'd say that week in the hospital was worth it to not have that cramped engine comp. pos.

You'll get there man, basically i'd say get a single eclipse 88100 and a quality 500w amp, sound far better then those 3 6000's and awesome sq, www.buyloud.com i think has the 88100 DVC for 270 and www.soundhabit.com has memphis 500D for somewhere under 300, that should definetly quench your thirst for bass

Whatever you do, BOLT THE BOX DOWN!!!! If you get into an accident and it shoots forward, the coroner will by wiping grey matter off the back of that woofer box.
