paging all CDA-7949 experts

Picked up a 7949 last night, apparrantly they don't have switchible illumination like my old 7940. I took the face apart, and the bulbs have little green rubber things on them that give them there color. Any idea what I could do to make the bulbs red to match my dash ??

damnit Jim, I saw the reply and at first I thought someone had an answer from me.

Oh well, I did a search on the web and found that someone used Testors model paint to paint the bulbs. May try that if I get no response.
