Is anyone running a digital signal processor?
So I'm currently saving up and acquiring pieces to my future sound system, and I discovered a piece of equipment that could solve the stock radio/ shitty audio dilemma. I like a lot of other people really like the stock look of our radios and how they fit into the interior. As a music fan however, I abhor the actual sound it puts out. Kind of important, right?
So I noticed there's this thing called a digital signal processor. It can take the audio signal from your stock radio, clean it up, and send it to the rest of the system. Some of these are advertised as upgrades for modern car audio systems where the infotainment bullshit center isn't easily replaced, but I figure the concept should still work with our radios, right? I did a forum search and didn't see a whole lot here, so for anyone reading this, do you use a signal processor and how do like it? Does it make our old delcos sing? Or is it just better to replace the radio and be done with it?

No amount of signal processing is going to make a crappy source sound great.
If you want great sound, you need to start with great sound.
What I am trying to say is you can't add what was never there to begin with.
