Ok, bear with me on this..

What I'm looking to do, is hopefully obtain a stock '92 Delco CD Player (if anyone knows where to find one, I would greatly appreciate it!).. and hook up a decent system from there, is it possible to do this? Can I toss on amps, subs, etc.. onto that head? I hear it's a less-than-perfect unit, as with most early Delco units, but I love the stock look.

My other option, was to find someone with a new 2000 or so Z28 and rape the Monsoon head/speakers/amp complete system and try to force it into my '92 Z28.. is this possible, also?

Currently, I have a JVC Kameleon w/ JVC 12-disc changer (I would gladly give these up for the above, heh..)

Any help would be appreciated.

The newer delco radios are actually pretty nice. The 80s delco radios are total crap. I don't know where the transition began though, so a 92 unit may still be bad news. In any event, a newer delco unit will work well if you buy a quality line output converter. The cheap jobs in Best Buy and Wall Mart won't cut it though. I had a link to some higher quality units, but I can't find it right now. They are units designed by/with Richard Clark and should provide much better results.
