what subs??

I have an 87 formula with the premium sound, it has the 4" subs on either side with the 4x6's on top and in the dash. I am wodering if anyone else has this set-up and if so what speakers they are running undernieth?? I plan on putitng my 12 inch solobaric in the trunk too, so I am wondering what speakers to run in the back. also, has anyone ever wired the switch on the dash for the gain control and sub on/off button to anyhting besides stock?? is it possible, cuz I realy like that idea of being able to turn it off or control how hard the bass hits like that. prolly not possible, but worth the try. anyways. any help would be great. thanks

As far as rear speakers, the eclipse 6x9's have a great sound, and will sound excellent with any sub setup. For your sub control, i dont know if your radio is factory or aftermarket. IF you are gonna get an aftermarket cdplayer, some of them have a sub control built into them. Just about all eclipse models have an independent sub control to adjust the "volume' as you call it to the sub. Also they have an option to take the speakers in or out of phase, whcih is useful if you are experiencing phase cancellation from yer speakers/subs
