Anyone Mount an amp in Place of Rear Seats?
Anyone Mount an amp in Place of Rear Seats?
Anyone ever remove the rear seats and replace them with an amp rack? I'm not talking about mounting amps in the rear seats (already been done), but removing the seats and replacing them with an amp rack that covers where the seats were. Anyone see any problems with this? I'm thinking about doing this in my RS and I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of it or heard of anyone doing this? Thanks

Well the only problem would be not having a place for that drunk 3rd passenger/friend you end up taking home.
Other than that, no problems. BTW, my car is the one with the in seat amp rack. Check out the link in my sig that goes to cardomain.com
Remember to run power down the passenger side and don't cross the wire over any part of the interior. If you need to route the power wire do it under the hood. Run the RCAs either up the middle (what I recommend doing) or down the drivers side BUT keep em away from the large wiring harness. The fuel pump, tail light, and rear defroster power lines go down the drivers side and you don't want to run signal wires along side them!

I like the idea, but I would use the car's back seat as a mold and go from there and build up on that. That could work.
