Original radio

Does any1 know where I can get an original radio for an 85 Trans-am, or at least a radio that will fit perfectly into the original hole. The supplier must be able to ship to Australia.

Hey, Peter,

Price might be prohibitive. I once had a metric speedo 145/240 (?) for sale at $125, but the sale price plus shipping was nothing short of astounding--between $300 and $400 if I recall correctly. Needless to say, the deal didn't go through.

Holy Cr@p !, double the shipping cost to get it here, then double the price when you convert it to Australian dollars !!!

Isn't there an after market radio that fits the same hole??

There are several 1.5 din-type radios which will fit the hole as nicely as the stock radio. Mine is an Alpine, but Pioneer also makes a couple of models. I suspect there are others as well.

Well, the Alpine was a bit pricey at a bit over $400 American. The Pioneer models go between $250 and $300. They are available at various discounters and on line. Try the following site as an example: http://www.buyloud.com/?a=108
