single 12 inch sub mounting options
single 12 inch sub mounting options
ok i am building a nice ergonomic yet powerful system in my car and i am trying to find the best way to build the box i have in mind, i am puttin a 12 in soundstream sub in the hatch ,and i want to know what the best way to mount it is, i plan on building a box that takes up a little less than half of the hatch well, now what way to face the sub? facing up? down? towards the back of the car etc. i am going to sound proof everything back there so rattles wont be a problem, i want my system to be very stealthy so looks arent a matter , as long as i have a kick a$$ system and still have some trunk space...
oh btw the box will be a sealed enclosure..
here is a very crud schematicof the hatch well
# = representing the box

I have one 12" Kenwood Sub in a small sealed box I made and have it sitting in the rear storage area with the sub facing towards the rear of the car.
It is powered by a Fosgate 500a2 bridged to mono. Hits very hard in the car.
