need some help hooking up the wires.

got all the adapters, and mounting plates and whatnot to put my Pioneer DEH-P31 in my 92. I have the bose system, but I am not reusing ANY of it. I'm running new wires for the speakers I'm putting in.. stock positions for regular 3rd gens. Along the way i'll be removing all the Bose wiring. My question is what wires do I need to hook up from the factory "power" block connector to the red, yellow, and black wires in the Pioneer connector. I don't EVER plan on going back to the factory system, so I plan to rid myself of all multi-connector junctions and all the adapters that clutter up space. From my sources I get the following functions for the wires in the black power block)left to right.
1. Ground
2. Dimmer
3. Illumiation
4. Power Antenna
5. Switched 12V(ignition)
6. Constant 12V(battery)

this is supposedly for all 88-up GM's.

the wires I know I need to hook up on the Pioneer are the red(with the fuse in it.), the yellow, and the black.. I'm told the blue one is the remote wire, and I don't have an amp.. YET. So from what I can tell is I need to hook up the Red to #5, the Yellow to #6, and the Black to #1.. the rest are speaker wires, and I'm gonna route that tomorrow. Am I right.. or am I wrong.. Though I paid nothing for the stereo(was a gift, I don't steal), I don't want to blow it up. Thank in advance.

Anthony

dallas -

are you referring to the colors of the factory wiring? I think he's looking for the colors of the wires on the Pioneer - but I haven't worked w/ Pioneers.

With JVC, and Blaupunkt, red is switched, yellow is constant and black is ground, in my experience.

Thanks for the replies. I already hooked it up. I posted b/c it didn't work, I must have let a hot wire hit ground while i was hooking up my speakers(didn't disconnect the battery like a dumbass) Blew a fuse, changed it.. now it works.
