Who made their own fake stock faceplate?

I saw a post on here before and someone posted pics of their fake stack faceplate. They mounted the radio further back I think and took the face of the stock radio off and put it over the new one so it would look stock. I can't find the post and I would like to see the pics again because I am going to do that with mine when I get it. Thanks.

I just finished getting the parts I need for the Chevy radio, so pretty soon I can replace that Pontiac plate with a Chevy plate.

I did mine nearly 10 years ago. I used my broken BOSE radio for the face, and sunk my SONY head and BBE into the dash about 3/4". When the dummy is on it sits right where the factory radio did, looks perfect. I can send photo's if someone want's post them.

I'm still working on mine. It's all apart and I'm done making it flush but I need glue/plastic epoxy so the stuff doesn't fall off in the summer heat. Hopefully they won't see the custom kicks! My Alpine v12 amps are flush in the back seat and the sub is still not in. It's going into a custom fiberglass enclosure in the spair tire well. Hopefully it won't take me much longer to get this stereo finished.
