Anoying interference

I have a 91 camaro rs and I just put a 350 in it replacing the stock tbi 305 with a 350 carb with points ingition and a summit brand 60,000 volt iginition coil. Well I had the car all apart and finally put it all back togather including the system. Well whenever the cars running I get an anoying ignition sound humming through my speakers like the points opening and closing, its terrible, and its really really loud. Does anyone know if the new ignition is causing this and if so is there anyway to fix it?

Yea, it's the ignition. MSD sells a filter that helps eliminate it though. www.msdignition.com or check through Summit.

also make sure that when you wired up your system, that the rca's and speaker wires, run completly seperate from the power cable and amp turn on lead.. best to wire them down seperate sides of the car..

I finally figured out my problem, on the rcas coming out of my radio, somehow they got a lil spliced so they made that sound, so i switched them from the fading rcas to the front set, well I was wondering how hard it is to change the rcas coming out of the radio, cause its a nice kenwood excelon and all

anther thing that will create noise is not having all the equipment grounded at the same point.
