jbl- good or not so good?
have you guys heard or had experience with jbl, particularly the bp1200.1? not to be confused with jl? i want a good quality amp that can power 2 12s at either 2x3ohm or 1.5ohm mono if i did the math right. the subs are 6ohm dvc and suposedly handle 1000watts and 500rms. opinions needed. thanks

I personally have not had good experiance with JBL amps. I have put them head to head with my PPI's, Kicker's and Alpine's and the JBL just doesn't have the guts as the others do.
If you are looking for a budget amp with great quality, look at the Alpine V12 series or Kicker Impulse series amps. Lower budget yet very good quality.
Just my $.02 from real life experiance. Others may claim different
