behind the seats???
behind the seats???
i have an 89 6 cyl rs
and i have 2 fosgate 12" HE's in the back with a 1000 watt fosgate amp. im thinking of going competiton style, and slappin 2 10s behind the back seat where it folds down. now, im sure you all know its metal back there, and i was wondering if anything important is back there that i shouldnt be drillin in to, and if so, any other suggestions on where to add more to my audio??? this was just an idea, so dont think im an idiot...just an audio freak. thanks a lot.

Your gas tank is directly benieth/behind that hump behind the back seat. Drilling into or cutting it would be a very bad idea.
I would also reconsider the idea of using a pair of 10s in addition to a pair of 12s. When you mix different speakers, you are basically taking two units with different sound characteristics and making them play the same frequencies. What happens is you get a very unpredictable effect, and 99 out of 100 times, it sounds worse than just using one or the other. Plus, if you use 1 amp to power it all, your output will be limited by the weakest drivers. Overall, I'd say either stick with the 10s OR the 12s, but if you want a good sounding system, don't waste your money trying to mix them.
