Most third-gen owners put the sub box in the well area in the back. T-tops should be stored in a t-top bag and strapped down flat in the cargo area. This should not affect having subs in the well area.

I keep hearing people talk about storing t-tops in the well area. How does this work? Do you just take the tops off and throw them in there? This seems like a good way to damage the t-tops. I would suggest finding a t-top bag and hooks.

I really don't think that there is room under any of the seats for decent sub boxes (unless you cut a hole in the floor pan and built a tub extending under the car - doesn't sound goods to me) without seriosly major modification.

I've also heard of people building sub boxes in the spare tire or rear glove compartment areas. This would be good for a stealth install but limits box size, ect.

I'm making and selling them starting in a couple months. I want to build a few sets to start out with. I'll start a post when I'm ready to start selling them. There will be a model for 10's and a model for 8's. With an optional amp rack in the middle. All fiberglass, all sealed.

I personally prefer to keep my T-tops in the well. It's less hassle than bagging and strapping, and they don't slide around during "spirited" driving. That's why I chose the location I did for the subs. With one on each side, and an amp in the middle, the whole subwoofer system is small and compact, and the T-tops or whatever else you want can store easily in the well.

As for 12's, I don't know yet. I still have to do some work on it, but my first impression is that the airspace required for 12's along with the physical size would make them ugly if not impossible. By the time I'm ready to start selling I'll know for sure.

Pricing is still sort of up in the air. There will be an option of unfinished or vinyl to start with. I'm also considering fabric covering (like the one in the picture), or gel-coating. Some of that will affect price. I also have to get a better feel for the time involved to make a set after I get the molds made. On top of all that, I 'll be selling relatively cheap for the first couple of months to get the word out. I'm thinking a set of left and right unfinished without the amp rack will start out in the neighborhood of $200-$250.
