Has anyone put a 4th gen deck into a 3rd gen?

Engine: 5.7 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.23 Posi
I believe the plug is different even though it looks the same. The basic wires are the same, so you should be able to get a plug for the new deck, and splice the wires into the appropriate colors. Always check with a wiring diagram and multimeter first though.

when i was looking at wiring harnesses at circuit city, they were labled 80-88, and 89 and up, im just guessing, but i think they would be different if ur car is pre-89
