OK hers what I have now
I have new kicks with infinity 605cs components in them and some junky Jensen 6x9s in the back and they are all getting run off the deck, wich is a JVC , kinda a lower end model.
It sounds good, but im really not satisfied. I think im going to amp the kicks in the front and get a set of 4 inch components in the back (replace the 6 x9 s) and amp those too.
I have the amp already its a aura 6 channel, but I was wondering if it would be worth it to up the deck. I mean i wount be running speakers off the speaker outs, just the rca.

think of it this way. if the signal is kinda crappy at the start, its not gonna get any better in the end. getting a better deck is not just about how much wattage its putting out. deffinately would upgrade it if you've got money.
well, how are you gonna be running the preouts?? if its a kinda low end model JVC, then you probably have one set of preouts or at most 2. Thats not to satifying when you wanna amp up all the speakers.
When I just bought my new headunit a few days ago, I looked for good sound, three preouts and nothing else really. With 3 preouts you can have the front and rear fading RCA outs puts, and independent control for a subwoofer amp for/if you get one later on. Its the easiest and most efficent way to amp aup all the speakers.
You could use line level inputs with your factory headunit and that isnt too clear in my opinion. Get a electonic EQ to tune all the amps using one preout. Or maybe even run a output from the main amp to a input of the subs and still keep the same one you have. But, I think its best to get a three set preout headunit. Also, i hate looking at the same one all the time ..

BTW - usually on those 6 channel amps, they have you jump the right and left channels to get the extra 2? If you get a sub buy another amp. And 4 inches is pretty small for a rear speaker.

Yea I was just really wanted too see if everyone came back with resounding no's.
I was looking at the digifine 2.1 heads from JVC they have 3 outputs 1 is for sub.
And it 4 inches really that small? I always hear about how some people completly disconnect their rear speakers.
And on the 6 channel its just straight up 6 channel....its a monster...i mean sure its only like 6o RMS x 6 ....but it can be bridged in pairs of 2 .
I think ill probobly bridge 2 for the kicks in front....2 for the components in the back and 2 for a small sub.

I'd put another pair of Infinity 605s in the back. Having the same speaker in all locations will do wonders for your sound. You wouldn't listen to your home stereo with 2 different speakers would you? It would sound pretty bad, and you'd have lousy imaging. Well, the same situation happens in your car, even when dealing with front-to-back staging. With different speakers, certain frequencies will be more prominant in different areas of the car, and your image will be all over the place.
I think upgrading your deck will help. The low end JVC stuff really isn't very good stuff. Their new Digifine decks sound fantastic however.
