sub volume varying?

I've done quite a few installs in different cars, but this has to be a first for me. i have a US Amps amp running to my 10 sub. for some reason or another, the sub volume is louder when i do something like turn on my headlights or in the process of rolling down the power windows. i have correctly run the wire to the amp (4ga running to dist. block, 8 ga to amp, 8 ga ground to chasis). anyone know whats wrong? i'm thinking either the battery to chasis sire is too small or my alt. isnt putting out enough. thanks.

I personally would run a 4ga ground wire and make sure it is to bare metal. Your stock alt should be fine unless your amp pulls an a$$load of current. just my .02 worth

I will eventually run a 4ga ground. however, the amp is only using 8ga from the distrobution block, so there is no point at the moment. trying out a few possible solutions tonight/tomorrow
