To invert or not, that is the question...

I just got 2 12" mtx thunder 6000 subs to replace my single 12" 4000, so im building a box to fill the well as well... im going to put an amp rack in the middle of it, but my question on it is what would inverting the sub do for sound quality? What exactly would inverting do? im looking for tight and accurate, for mostly rock music....TIA

Inverting the sub will make no difference in sound quality, except that it will wind up giving a tad more airspace in the box.

plus if your subs are chrome, like my audiobahns, they will look way better. i didnt bother cuz my box is made out of scrap mdf and looks like crap anyways.
another idea is to invert one and put one in the normal way, then you get even more cool looks
