Ok, so I told someone I would install a head unit in their 96 Cavalier, but I keep hearing how the Air Bags will go off for some reason, any body know anything about installing in this vehicle. All replies appreciated!!

I would check the Haynes or Chiltons Manuals for that one.. they should say what has to be done to remove the head unit safely if there is a danger.

Usually air bag wires are very easy to identify. Thick bright yellow wire or yellow with black stripe. Most of the time they will even have tags on them identifying them as air bag.

If you are unsure, consult the vehicles service manual. If you stick to using a wire harness such as Metra or the like, you should have no problems at all.

Just don't forget the GM antenna adapter

Hey thanks guys, I found what they were talking about and it was no problem at all. Preciate all the suggestions, couldn't find either of the manuals but it turned out pretty easy. Thanks again, oh, and one more thing, don't deal with Circuit City, those guys wanted like $100 to install!!!
