Sub sound???

I have a pair of mtx 10" 6's and they sound great, but when you put that cover that hooks to you hatchback it doesn't sound as good. I want to leave the cover there because I don't people to see them and steel them. Is there any way to cover them so people can't see them and still get the same sound?? I was thinking about tinting me hatch, but its illegal to tint it so much where you can't see in. Does any one have an idea?

I think it would make a lot of sence to just cover them when the car is parked...and when the stereo is not in use. Before you get in and out of your car...just pull the shade down. It isnt like people arent going to notice you have a stereo when you are driving..with the shade closed or not...since you will be listening to it...and obviously they can hear it from outside. So all you need to do is take an extra 10 seconds of your time to open and close your shade...and it will be worth it. Also...just tint the windows to the max amount. That is the only thing I can think of...and it makes the most sense. Anybody else agree with me?

You must have a heavy hatch cover....I never heard a difference between sound quality with the cover open/closed. Bass is not uni-directional (I hope I said that right)...no matter where its positioned or what its positioned behind (except for a wall), the sound is the same. Thats how Bose makes a killing with the accoutimass systems.

Hey, my hatch cover does the same thing. I just put my cover on when I park my car. Just pop the hatch walk behind the car and hook it in. Then shut the trunk and leave. Also... it could be because I only have the 100.2 RF Punch amp runnin my 2 RF Punch 12's..... don't laugh i'll get a bigger amp when I get money lol.
