From What I have heard stay away from aiwa. They skip and break all the time. The good ones are like the kenwoods and I guess the sony one isnt too bad either.

The Kenwood Excelon Mp3 decks are good. I have the excelon z919 and i've never had a problem with skipping, and it plays the mp3 files very well too. The excelon z828 is a very nice unit, but its a little pricey. See if you can find anything on e bay or something like that. I know you can get the z919 pretty cheap right now off ebay. Anyway its your choice though. Like what 350Iroc-z said before stay away from aiwa, i heard bad things about them.

I've got the kenwood MP8017 and its pretty awesome. I had the Aiwa CDC-MP3, and I liked it. It didn't skip as bad when I put foam under it. Reduced like 90% of the skips. But this Kenwood mp3 player is lots better
