im pretty sure this has been dragen ito the ground but i can find a simular topic anywayz can i bolt my amp down on the rear deck will it hit the gas tank or be ok if not what else can i do thanks
DO NOT DRILL INTO THE REAR DECK!!!!! you will rupture your gas tank!!!! instead, pull up the carpet, put a piece of medium density fiberboard 3/4 of an inch thick under where you want to mount the amps, and screw into the wood, hint : cut the wood in one big piece from left panel all the way to right panel so that it doesn't slide around. make sure to use small enough screws so you don't screw into the gas tank

Wow; popular topic lately, eh?
Why not build a full-out amp rack up there? Take up the whole deck with some wood, surround it with plexiglass, put the distribution block up there, put a "push" fan aiming in one side, and a "pull" fan pulling air out of the other...
[edit] Oops- oh, and to bolt it down, use steel straps (two on each side, or maybe even plate steel) to go "under" the plastic panels on each side, and bolt the straps to the side supports that are back there. That way you won't hit any gas tanks!
(Plexiglass enclosure) on top of (amps) next to (distribution block) on top of (board) on top of (steel brackets going to the sides of the car) on top of (original carpet).
