DEATH TO ALL THINGS FOSGATE.
Except for the old school punch 200's that output like 650 watts @ 1 ohm 
But, anyways.. just curious as to how many people have separated the coils on their punch DVCs... only had like 400 RMS going to each one...hrm. wonder if that was too much Anyone know if it's worth even bothering to try and either ethnically engineer the coil back to the basket, or to just throw them out and get some nice 12w3s...

The punch DVCs are old speakers, with short excursion capability and limited voice coil size. If you feed that much to an HE2, HX2 or Power HX2, it'll take it all day long.

I have a 2001 RF HX2 and I push 300RMS to each voice coil all day and it slams. Had no problems cept having to fix the ground on the amp so that it wouldnt choke, but after that it sounds great and hits like a mother. RockFord FosGate Forever!!!!!!

Beyond Fosgate what is there? Pheonix Gold, Eclipse, Infinity. Otherwise nothing and evenstill Pheonix Gold does NOT make a better sub than Fosgate's HX2. I have 3 and couldnt hardly move them with 3 fosgate 800@2's so i stepped up to 3 PG zx600's no problem to hit 155+db's at a stoplight. then i can not only stomp the mudstain next to me, but he is deaf also. By the way i didnt list MTX or JL Audio for a reason, with the exception of mtx's new bad *** $1000 sub, nothing either of them have can touch the others i mentioned. I think i can leave it at that.
