What can Rockford subs take?

Yesterday I bought a Rockford Punch 10" sub and when I brought it home, I noticed that it said 200 watts max on the side. I have a 350 watt Kenwood amp and I was planning on bridging it. I bridged my last sub but it popped after 4 months. The guy at the store i bought it from said that it would take anything i would throw at it and if it busted it would be under warranty. I could get a Clarion platinum 10" for the same price though and it is 400 watts max. My question is, will the Rockford Punch withstand a 350 watt bridged amp?

Yep. No problem. Just make sure your box specs are right, and you'll be just fine. Rockford subs are usually underrated, and almost all the kenwood amps are overrated (on wattage) Your Kenwood is probably somewhere around 280 watts MAX (we're talkin' all kinds of distortion here) and if you bridge it, you'll get somehewere around 310 watts MAX. (again, super distortion)

Good luck!

Those inexpensive rockfords aren't exactly as over-rated as their better stuff. Those subs are the Circuit City buy-1-get-1 special subs. Private Rockford dealers can't even get those things.

That 350 watt Kenwood shouldn't give it much trouble as long as you don't beat on it like a red headed stepchild. I believe that is the Kenwood's "maximum" power.

either way you only have one ten wtf? Buy one more then wire the sob's to two ohms and have no wories. the first system i ever had was a 280 watt sony amp and 2 fosgate punch XLC 10"s in induvidual 1.25cu ported boxes, and it beat some @ss. granted i have stepped up since then, but i couldnt have been hapier at the time. it hung with 2 12" 1000 watt systems no prob.

lol yeah i only have one 10" its hard with a vert f-body to sacrifice that much trunk space. But actually right now I do have two tens in the car as a trial (the punch and a dr.crankenstein) and i maxed out the input sensitivity and it pounds pretty nicely.
