just HOW hard is it to
just HOW hard is it to
build a sub box to fit in rear hatch compartment thing? Another question , is it possible to build one so there will be enough clearence for the cover for that compartment to shut? i have the compartment that has the lid so u can cover it and lock it and i'd like to be able to close it when its not in use so no one sees that i have a system, it will be an added security bonus since the car will look stock.
and what are everyones experiences with the jvc el kameleon deck, i would really like to get this because i like the looks of it, but im fairly new to the whole mobile audio scene, and i'm probably going to get some rockford 12 inch and dump those in the back... but the main question is how hard would it be to build an enclosure like that.
thanks

Building the box can be very difficult if you've never done it before. The design is pretty tough to figure out, but after you make a couple scrap boxes, it all starts to come together. The problem is that you need to have a bunch of skills, not just one particular one. You've got to be real good with wood (important for accurate cuts), good with spatial relations and geometry to translate a 3 dimensional design to a bunch of flat 3/4" thick panels. That 3/4" thickness will cause you more troubles than anything else. Until you get real familiar with this design, you'll be cutting everything too big or too small by 3/4" or 1.5".
Once you get the hang of it and build 5 or 6, you'll be able to pop them off in your sleep.
It is possible to build it below that cover piece, and if you build it right you can wind up with almost 1.5 cubes inside the box, but, you won't be able to mount anything larger than a 10" driver unless you face it toward the back of the car instead of straight up.

so my chances of making a sealed enclosure that will be half decent on my first try is pretty slim to none huh? and another question about the amp, will the amp get proper netilation if i stick it in that little compartment opposite of where the spare tire goes? id like to hide it in there for more security purposes
