Whoo Hoo! I just got another pair of Boston 746 Plates!
I'm happy
I've had a pair of 746 plates since I was in high school (mid 90s -yikes!!) and I have yet to find a 4x6 that sounds nearly as good. Now that I need tunes in the GTA and I don't have the time and the patience to build another set of kicks right now, I wanted to get another pair of 746s. I remembered that the place I used to work in Rochester had 1 box left, stuffed up on the top shelf in the warehouse. My buddy is coming up this weekend, so I had him stop in and sure enough, they're still there. So, he bought them and I'll have them by this weekend.
Guess it's time to break out the heat gun and the razor to make these fit.

I love my 746s
....and my RX97s, and my RM6s

Why do you need the heat gun to make them fit??? Mine fit fine

not enough clearance on the dashpad, so the speaker holes that are molded in need to be trimmed. jim wrote a tech article about it.

They fit in camaros (well, pre 90 models anyway) with no mods, but in the firebirds the heater box and some other plastic gets in the way.
