K, I'm looking into getting 2 12" subs for my car. I'm most interested in getting 2 kenwood kfc-w3003 subs. I've heard them in a car audio shop and they sounded pretty good but so did some other subs. I'm guessing it would sound a lot different in the car, so does anyone here have these subs in their car? Also any feedback on these particular subs would be appreciated.

Kenwood make good product, but the sub are the cheap and easy part. find an amp, look at what you can afford. Dont pay less than 100 a sub, really 150, unless they are 3 year old shelf models new in the box type of thing.
I build systems for a living, and one was a truck w/2 kenwood 10"s and only 300 watts to them, it hit 136.2 wich pretty loud for pretty cheap.

I have those subs with a 600 watt amp behind it and it sounds fine for me.

 

I'd go with cerwin-vega, or JL audio.

 

Well if u get those kenwood subs let me know. I have an all kenwood system cept for the one 15" punch HX2 which is RF. i am looking to try to make the whole system kenwood for an all around kenwood install. im looking to do custom install not the normal slap a box in the back, with a sub or two and then the deck in the basic place, im look to detail the whole car with kenwood shiznit so let me know what u think if u get those.
