I think i'm gonna buy a couple 15" 250Wrms cerwin vega subs off a friend, what would be a good, fairly inexpensive amp to power them good??

$300 canadian is what, $175 or $180 american? That won't buy any sort of amp that can push Vegas. You'll need at least double that to even get close.
