XM- location of antenna?

Does anyone know if I have to put that antenna on the outside of my car? Can I put it on the dash? Or, put it in my front fender (between the plastic inner fender and metal outer fender)? I like the idea of satellite radio, but don't want to put an antenna on the car body!

Pretty sure its like a car antenae. Needs to be line of sight. So you probably have to mount it up on the hatchwindow.

BTW, the antenae they have a pretty damn ugly too.

you can get either a glass mount or a magnetic mount antenna. they both have to be on the outside of the car, and the glass mount will look alot cleaner
