Need Help Quick... What Can I Use For Ground Wire???

The amp I just got is a Coustic 360W amp and the ground, remote, and power wires are all part of the amp and come out of a hole on the side of the amp. The ground has about 10 inches of wire. Can I use any kind of wire for ground wire? Can I splice it into the ground wire for my other amp? Or do I HAVE to go buy Ground Wire?

lol, ya bud, this coulda turned into a "my systems so ghetto" post.

you can use...... dammit, cant think of anything funny.

oh well, ok anyways, wire is wire, as long as its the same gauge because consider power 'wire' just signal going one way -> and ground, the other <- but its still the same kinda wire, nothing different, (lamens terms)

go ahead, use your power wire, sisters retainer, and your trendy electrical cord belt!

CRAP!... i go to hook the wires up... and the power wire is like... just SLIGHTLY a bigger wire than the ground wire on the amp... so now I have to wait til tomorrow to go get a smaller wire... it doesn't say which size is on the amp... it looks like 12 i guess because the power i have is 10 and it's just barely bigger... if i mix the 2 gauges together will it mess the amp up?

lol, no,

ok, its just that when you get a chance, get better wire, but dont go crazy, the less patches, the less danger, so yea you can run it like that for a bit, just plan on getting better wire sometime, 12...lol... ill be running 8 gauge for my subs i thik, something beefy,

i run 2 gauge for my power, four for my ground, and they are both getting bigger...

Do it the right way and get a single strand of wire with the right color for ground (black). This way if you ever have to mess with the wiring in the future you won't have to remember how you trailer rigged it the last time
