Had Viper 800 Installed....Now car wont start
Had the Viper 800 Car alarm installed...one of the best. Car started but wanted to die rite when I started it....took it for a ride, figured it'd been sitting all day. go pick up my gf from wal-mart for her break and as Im leaving after I start my car the thing turned off everytime I stopped (not stalled....turned off, no spuddering, nothing from the engine) check engine light comes on, it runs fine.
take it back, they didnt have much time and by now my gf is done work and i have to pick her up, they said bring it back tomarrow they will look at it rite when I bring it no matter what they are doing. meanwhile they disconnect power to alarm so there is no trouble overnight. well it keeps doin it....shuts off when I stop, check engine light comes on, runs fine, go pick up my gf from work, go out to my car, it wont start, cranks and cranks but doesnt even TRY to turn over.
WTF is the problem

Most nice alarms like that have a starter kill relay and/or another relay hooked up to make the car die after it has gone a little ways (that way it can be technically considered stolen). These relays can burn out, in which case whatever's hooked up to them won't work. When I had my alarm installed, they suggested I left those things uninstalled for that very reason. I wouldn't be surprised if you have a bad relay, or they accidently wired something a little wrong or have a wire grounded out somewhere. If they're good installers, take it back to them and they'll probably have it fixed in no time.
