i just bought a 89RS with the bose system. i want to get the panasonic CQ-DF401U head unit. can i just buy this and the wireing harness and plug it in. i heard something about the bose amps but dont know what they are talking about. will the head unit work with my speakers. i dont have 6x9's, the bose came with 4" in the hatch area.

im not much for bose in the camaros, but i put a system in my friends le baron and he had the infinity setup with the premium. Maximas have the bose system and all that means is that everyspeaker has their own amps on them. Its kinda of a pain to get around but if you look at the speakers, theres 4 wires on each. 2 for the power, and 2 for the line level input to the amps on the speakers. I just replaced the speakers cause a couple were blown, so thats how i got around it. If you just hook up the headunit to the existing wires im not sure what will happen, maybe someone else can look at this and explain if it can be done. Im just explaing what the amps do, if your still wondering, you can mail me and ill check around a few places for yait it can be done easily
