I'm getting ready to replace my factory speakers in my F-body. I'd like to hear from some of you that have differetn set ups on which brands you suggest. I just want to replace the stock speakers... not get a boom'n stereo system, just something that sounds good and not trashy.

 

Go with the Infinity's or Rockford Fosgate.

 

What kind of prices am I looking at? Ball park figure...

 

i put eclipse 6x9's in the back of mine, they sound great. They're more of a high end speaker, therefore the low end isnt quite as much as a rockford would have, because they're meant to be w/subs. They have excellent clairity, and they only cost 160 for the pair

 

Typically, I'm a total rockford fosgate fan. Thats what kind of amps I run. As far as speakers go, I'm running Crossfire 4x6s and 6x9s and couldn't be happier. I've done a million systems and am constantly changing my own set up, but I have to say i'm really pleased w/ these for the money. Sub wise I run PPI's, which are nice, but that all depends on what type of music you listen to

 

fosgate makes nice stuff but most of there stuff is overpriced and over rated. i have a older set of sony 3 way 6x9's and up front i am about to buy some fosgate 3 1/2" speakers cause those things SCREAM!!!and ill make a custon mounting plate so they arent all jimmy rigged, or i might buy a set of 600 watt lexon tweeters that are really really nice. pretty some i am going to replace those 6x9's for a pair of DEH 4-way 550 watt, they are around 60 bucks and i got a friend who has some and they are loud and clear.
