In Flames - Episode 666
- Dialogue With the Stars
- Insipid 2000
- Jester Script Transfigured
- The Jester Race

I used to be a big fan of Metallica. However, with their recent CDs being almost mellow and gay, I've moved on to In FLames. Tehy're a metal band from Sweden and they kick some serious *ss. Give 'em a try. They're readily available on Napster.

Finally, I was starting to think I was wierd. One of the best bass guitar solo's in classic rock and it's not even getting an honorable mention. (remember I'm biased, I'm a bassist)

Nice to see not only fellow metal fans, but prog rock fans!

Favorite driving tunes: Anything by Dream Theater (or Liquid Tension),Fates Warning, Metallica, Korn, Megadeth and throw in some AC/DC, Fear Factory, Zeppelin, Meshuggah, Sabbath, Soundgarden, Mudvayne, and lets not forget Beastie Boys, and Crystal Method.

Pretty much anything but Country!

Wow....it is too damn hard to choose. But I can say that nobody here has listed any System of a Down songs....what about Linkin Park...what about Disturbed? Of course Metallica, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Chili Peppers. I am also surprised to see that not that many biggie songs were listed. I mean Warning is like the greatest biggie song ever...what about juicy by biggie. I cannot choose a top 5....too hard. I have yet to see any raggae as well. Maybe you should listen to some raggae...trust me nothing sounds better than the bass lines in raggae...like Buju Banton,Sean Paul,etc...songs such as sexy punkie, champion, murderer, boom bye bye. Oh yea...and Sublime...I dont know...maybe I just am the only person on this board who listens to every type of music...but there are such great songs out there that a lot of people forgot to mention. This Love by Pantera is a great song to get your adrenaline pumping...as well as Sugar and DDevil by System of a Down. Oh well...I cannot choose...when I come up with a list I will post it up...just too hard to do right now.

it depends on my mood too.... mostly ill have in...

1)godsmack - whatever
2)dmx/marilyn manson - the reaper
3)ministry - one more fix
ministry - jesius built my hot rod (witch explains why its not working right now)
4)mudvayne - dig
5)NIN - the becoming

when im cruzing, sometimes ill pop in some bloodhound gang (the lapdance is always better when the stripper is crying) lol! and some lords of acid.... especially the pu$$y round song.... ive your ever heard that song, youll know why i BLAST IT! especially when theirs chicks around.... its funny to watch their faces....

if my system is working, ill pop in some r&b... brandi and stuff like that.... leny cravitz is good too. i very in my teaste, just about everything from classical to industrial and dark wave. i think about the only thing i cant really stand is death metal.... sounds like two pissed off bulls going at it... and no harmonics in the instruments.... sometimes rap is ok, as long as their not just bragginf about how many b*tches thay have, how much weed they smoke, and how much money they have.... yeah, that takes talent to talk about....

anyways, just my to coppers

jon

Holy **** this post is nearly a year old! I stopped reading halfway down the list, but if the list went on infinitely, we would find that all the songs ever written will be favorites... my selection depends on time of year, day and how happy I am...

Here are the top 5 driving tunes:

5 DJ Cosmo - Unchained Melody Techno Remix
4 Metallica - Enter Sandman
3 AC/DC - You Shook Me all Night Long
2 Crystal Method - Keep Hope Alive
1 The Cars - Magic

If it's a long trip these two CD's usually make their way to the CD player:

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Creedence Clearwater - Greatest Hits Disc 1

best driving songs:
offspring-bad habit
limp bizkit-rollin
kid rock-american bad ***
public enemy&anthrax-bring da noize
kittie-brackish
and if you want to hear a little bass:
black rob_whoa
toya-i do
enigma-sadness

i really dont think we should be knocking someone because of what they drive or listen to.we should really be sticking together,we all love our cars, and we modify them to our liking.the people we should worry about is the government who is trying to take our cars away or tell us that they have to be all stock.

5. Metallica - The Four Horsemen
4. Black Label Society - Superterrorizer
3. Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone
2. Metallica - Sad But True
1. Black Label Society - The whole live album "Alcohol Fueled Brewtality LIVE!!!"

Others include older songs from Metallica, anything by Zakk Wylde(Black Label Society, Pride and Glory, and his stuff with Ozzy), Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Ted Nugent, Skid Row, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and 80s shred music like Megadeth and Cacophony. Basically, if it rocks and doesn't involve a 7 string guitar tuned down(aka Limp Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot, Linkin Park) then i listen to it.

My top Five (It's underground $hit):

1. "Crunch" by Swollen Members feat. Moka Only

2. "Camoflague" by Swollen Members

3. "Full Contact" by Swollen Members feat. Evidence, Chali 2NA

4. "Northern Touch" by Red-1, Thrust, Choclair, Kardinal Offishall, Checkmate. (for all you Canadin Hip-hoppers)

5. "Groundbreaking" by Swollen Members

Just to set a little something straight for all the metalheads out there. There is a BIG difference between rap and hip-hop. Rap is Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, etc. They all claim to be hip-hop, but they aren't. Hip-hop is the soul of it. Any easy comparison is that metal bands started this whole recent crazy of "new metal" or "rap-metal" such as Project Wyze, Korn, and Limp-Bizkit. Rap is merely a deviation of true hip-hop. Hope that clears something up.(Don't get pissed, I have about 20 Metal CD's, I just don't find it good driving music).
