Will this power setup be ok, or will they blow?

ok, I have 2 12" 500watt MTX6000 running off a 500 watt amp, and its also powering my 6x9s. And I plan on getting a 1000watt amp and a 8" sub and componant 6" with seperate tweeters. ok, look at this setup, will this be ok?

2 12" MTX6000 total power handeling=500watt handeling per sub, running off a 1000 watt bridged amp...will this blow the subs even if I turn down the sub just enough on the amp? If so, will I still blow them if I run the amp to the tweeters or the componants as well?

then

1 8" MTX6000 total handeling=350 watts, running off the KA3 500 watt amp, also powering the 6x9s in the back, will this blow my 8"? Even if I turn down the power and/or increase the power to the 6x9s?

K I'll see if I can help. But I need alittle more info. First thing why do you want an 8"? Where are you going to put it? The Jensen KA3 is a 3channel amp so are you just trying to use up the 3rd channel by hooking an 8" to it? You are talking about a 1000watt amp, what amp is this?

What I dont understand is all the questions people have about "blowing" their subs and stuff when they hook up too much power. Correct me if I'm wrong, but its not like you hook up the amp and it sends its max power to the sub right away and mgically blows the sub up. If you turn the gain down you should be able to hook virtually any amp to any sub assuming the OHMs are right . (right?) And obiviously, yes, I dont mean hooking up some wal-mart roadgear subs to a 1100 watt RMS Crossfire or something.

And also wouldent it be better to overpower a sub, that way the sub has way more "clean" power than it would possibly ever need, thus creating better sounding bass?

I like the new board.
