amp help

amp help

i have two infinity reference series 10's they are rated @ 250 watts RMS, i am using a us acoustics usx2100 it is rated at 300 watts RMS when dridged @ 4 ohms, if i wire my 2 subs in parallel, will it hurt the amo to run it bridged @ 2 ohms, it is t2 ohm stable when not bridged.

its not really good, because its not rated for that kinda load. less expensive amps cannot and should not be run at lower ohms than stated, because you can hurt it. since you were thinking of running it 2 ohms bridged, each channel technically sees 1 ohm, stressing the amp. higher quality amps are more likely to handle this kinda of stress. i've got an mtx amp running at 2 ohms bridged and its not even getting warm. but just be careful. manufacturers will not honor a warrenty if an amp is used incorrectly (not at suggested ratings/levels/etc)

ok, thanks for the suggestion, i think im going to run it 100 watt by 2@ 4 ohms, just to be safe :hail:
