Sub Acting Up

Hey guys, I have used my system for two weeks without any problems. Now every once in a while my sub turns off and then back on in some time. This occurs whenever, and there is no specific time when it does or for how long.

My system consists of:
Sony CDX-C7000X CD Receiver
JBL GTO462 4"X6" 2-way Speakers
JBL GTO930 6"X9" 3-way Speakers
Kenwood KAC-729S 100W x 2 Car Amplifier
Kicker XPL X12C-4 12" Component Subwoofer
4 guage Street Wires kit provides it power and signal

Thanx

Dave

yea i think caleb is right mine used to do the same thing cause it didnt have a fan to cool it down... next time it turns off get out and take a look at your amp and see if the "protection" light is on if so then it is overheating or it might just turn off the amp see if the amp is even on

Also double check to make sure you have a good tight ground on the amp

Thanks for all the replies, there is only a power light on the amp and it goes off whenever it wants. I know for a fact that it is not overheating because it does it when I first start the car.

Thanks

Dave
