Locations for cd changers
Locations for cd changers
I am looking for a good location for a cd changer. I dont want to put it in the back b/c that would be a pain in the but for changer disks. I was thinking the center concil or some place within arms reach. I was thinking if the was room behind the dash clove pocket on my T/A, I could cut a section out and make it hinge but not noticable to anyone but me from outside the car. What do you think? Where are some of the places you have yours?

i used to keep mine on my back deck before i got rid of it. i never really went to it though. (thats the point of changers)
At a audio show, they had a 4th gen firebird ( cant remember if it was the kenwood camaro or JL firebird) and had a electric motor underneadthing the drivers side back seat, and when it tilted up, there was a changer that came up with it. I was in love, along with the tv screen that rose out of the dash. Not saying tp do that but just a idea if something could be created in the seat.
the center console is too shallow for it. I noticed on the late model 3rd gens (like 91 and 92) theres a lot of room uder the seat when compared to the older ones.
I wouldnt cut my dash apart for it though.
1) mounting it will give you a headache.
2) if you ever get a different one, a lot of times they are different sizes.
3)little noticeable for theives
