Rochester to Holley linkage.

Hey yall, Ive just got my Holley #1850, and I was wondering if there are any changes in the throttle linkage set up. Will I need a conversion kit?

I would advise you to get the Holley bracket part no 20-95. This will allow you to mount the throttle cable and the Transmission TV cable in the correct place. You can use the old manifold mounted bracket from your Qjet days but you have to reposition it to make it optimal.

P.S. I see you are replacing a CC Qjet, have you got a vacuum advance distributer and some means to lock your torque convertor?

Where will it need to be relocated to? I'm gonna be using an Edelbrock Performer intake, if that makes any difference.

The old Qjet bracket mounts under one of the manifold bolts. When I put my Performer RPM manifold and Holley on the bracket in it's standard posion wasn't correctly lined up with the throttle arm of the carb. This doesn't matter much for the throttle but can cause transmission problems with the TV cable. Buy the bracket, it is $15 or so of your money. This bracket goes under one of the carb studs and puts everything in the correct place.

I'll look into getting one of those brackets. And as far as the dist. goes, I've gotten a vacuum advance one. But, I've heard that removing the pollution control system and CC doesnt affect the torque convertor lockup.

I'm not 100% sure on the lockup thing. I think it will still work but some people have told me it doesn't. Maybe someone else will comment.
