how do i , or do i need to. prime the fuel pump
after its been drained of gas, because i installed new fuel lines. or should cranking the engine for a few minutes just suck gas into the pump???????????

I usually make sure the primary bowl has fuel in it. That'll get you running long enough to get fuel to the carb in empty lines... And assures quick startup...

Crank it until it fires up, it won't take very long at all.
