Rods... Hangers... advice!
Rods... Hangers... advice!
It suddenly dawned upon me the other day that I have never bothered to take a look at the hangers&rods in my 305 Lg4. Supposedly this engine was rebuilt, a comp 260h cam added, and who knows what else before I bought it. Anyway, looking for hanger letters I noticed an "F" stamped on what I assume is the hanger looking down on the carb between the AV flaps, towards the firewall side. Is this the actual stamping or am I looking at something else? The carb responds very crisp and doesn't have that 1..2..buhhhwaaahhhhhh I got from my previous LG4 car(s) when you mash the gas, but I'm looking to tweak this bad oscar is whatever ways possible.
I am also running world 305 heads, Edelbrock performer manifold, TES headers (crappy LG4 version) /w new(ish) 2.5" cat into a monster 3" pipe back out into a 'Flo-Pro' muffler.
What would be a ballpark rod/hanger combo for my app? This is a daily driven, mild giddy-up street car.
Thanks,
Hype.

F hanger is probalby pretty good for it if your metering rods are of the performance variety.
I ran an E hanger, and DH rods with mine and it ran great.
the F hanger is probaly ok, but if you will have to get a few more to fine tune it, like a d or something, and a few sets of metering rods, the DR's are popular, the CK's are good(if i havne't mixed them with the CH's)
if the car's running well now changing the rods and hangers all around may not give you a real noticable difference unless you run it at the track and can see a tenth or less of a difference.
