Edelbrock Performer and Code 23 HELP!!!

Edelbrock Performer and Code 23 HELP!!!

Hey,
I have an 86 305 camaro and i put on an edelbrock performer RPM intake and a holley 600... I am getting code 23 now.... the Manifold Air Temp (MAT) sensor, is there anyway to fix this??? The car seems like its running great, but i hope its not in that closed loop stuff????

Read the descriptions for trouble code 23 again. MAT is for injected cars, you're probably getting it for "Throttle position sensor error". How that would relate to a manifold replacement, I don't know, however.

What do you mean by "i hope its not in that closed loop stuff"? Closed loop is good.

Whoa, back up the horses - I missed the part about the 600 Holley. No wonder you're getting a code 23 - you just eliminated the TPS!

Unless you also replaced the distributor with a vacuum/mechanical advance type, it's not running as great as it could. If you did, you'll have a permanent code 23, so take the bulb out of the SES light.

Do you have an auto transmission? If so, your TCC is no longer locking up.
