looking for some Q-Jet help...
I tore into the Q-Jet on my 455 this week only to find bent primary rods and a messed up power piston. I know that Rochester has a bunch of different designs of metering rods, and I only have a size stamping on the rod.
The only way to know which rods I have is to compare them with known existing ones. Does anyone know of a Q-Jet guru in the Chicagoland area I can get a hold of? I guess I have too many Holley friends
Thanks!

Well, it's been a couple of days, and no one has responded. I don't know anything about the Chicago area, but something you said has me confused - what do you mean you "only have a size stamping on the rod"? Exactly what is stamped on there? It should be a two-digit number and a letter, like "41B". If so, that tells you size and style.
Sounds like someone was having trouble getting those pesky things in during a rebuild and just jammed them in. Can't say I don't relate to their frustration, but a little patience goes a long way.
Hope you can get it figured out. If not, I'm sure some place like Carbs Unlimited or Jet Performance could help you sort it out.
