Ok im looking to buy a camaro or firebird prolly a firebird they look better. heheh
But seriously does it matter considerably whether i get a carbuerated engine or tpi? What are the advantages/dissadvantages of a carbuereator or injectors...

All depends on you. If you care about getting every possible mile to the gallon then go with the TPI. IF you like easy do it yourself ness go with the carb. Only prob with thirdgens and a carb is that you could not get a 350 with a carb. Of course whos to say you can't find one with a 350 swapped in. TPI was the only way to get a 350 from the factory. Depending on where you are from emissions may be a factor also.

I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package , dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, ASCD SS hood, 16" IROC rims.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, Hurst shifter, dakota digital gauge package, procharger supercharger.

That really depends on your goal for the car. Stock vs. stock, TPI is the way to go. Especially if you get an L98 (350) car.

If you plan to mod it, then I say get a carbed car. They have alot more potential(speaking of a carb 305 vs FI 305 of course) IMHO, are much easier.cheaper to work on, and are FAR easier to keep emissions legal while modding if that is a concern.

Carb is easier to work with, less expensive, and all that good stuff. But with the junk comp carb on the earlier cars, you'll need to swap everything anyhow. Just get a newer car and swap in a carb. Unless you dont want to fool around with some of the odd 86/87 changes, you can get a newer car that is probably in better shape.
