Power valve selection ???s
So Jester is always bitching that I need to change my power valve... that is about all that is left on the long list of things I've checked so far, so I'll be pissed if he is right for a change
My problem is this, I do not have a vacuum gauge. I tried to get one last time but the parts store didn't have one. They did have a wall which looked like a shrine to Holley with every size jet known to racing
There were two PV rows: one with a "5" stamped on them and one with a "6" stamped on them. Mine has a "6" stamped on the face of it too, but I suspect that it is not the right one for my engine. I think I have low of a vacuum and it is sucking fuel into the carb while I am cruising (kind of rich). Would a "5" be better?
I know the right answer is to get a gauge and find the lowest reading... then subtract that by 2 and go with that. But I won't be able to get a guage until I go to the parts store which is a 30 minute drive...

1984 z28 w/ a 357 cu in. monster engine which is looking like the posterchild for Edelbrock with the exception of the Holley 750vac... all the suspension stuff... 9-bolt posi disk is in...
