vapor lock
vapor lock
I've had this problem with vapor lock...I've been told it's a flaw in the camaro design...the fuel line being too close to the engine. I've also been told that reflective tape around the fuel line will help prevent any more such occurences...is this true?

You can either wrap the fuel line or reroute it.I rerouted my lines when I upgraded to braided lines with my new motor and have yet to have vapor lock.Just keep them as far away from any heat as possible which can be tricky on third gens.

What about doing some kind of coolier for them as well as rerouting them? But anyway I would jsut reroute them, it may be harder, but I think in the long run you will be happier for doing it that way.
A cheap fix is take some 3/8" fuel line, slit it up one side and wrap it around the fuel lines. They also sell thin phenolic spacers with heat shields attached to help keep the carb cool for severe problems.
