WOT woes

okay heres the scoop, whenever i put the accelerator to the floor, the car bogs for about 1 second...accelerates slow and then after about 2 seconds of that it acclerates like its 3/4. any ideas here? im guessing its something to do with the carb which is why i posted here. if this helps any if i take off without a nice warmup it will bog under any acceleration, idels fine though. thanks

When i have a complaint of a bog on a hot eng. 90% of the time its the fuel feed tubes for the sec. accelerating well discharge holes which are located just above the sec. air valve plates (SAVP). When the SAVP open a good shot of feul will discharge out of these holes kinda like a acc. pump. What happens is these fuel feed tubes over time will work loose and fall into the sec. fuel wells. This would be the same problem as if the pri. side all of a sudden lost its acc. pump. A dirty bog!! Just a guess.

Is the secondary air valve opening when you depress to the WOT position? If not it could also be the little flat egg shape cam that mechanically lifts the rods and releases the valve has cracked or broken. I have had to replace three of these on different cars that had WOT issues. The older model Quads used a vulvanized rubber piece which is much more durable than the later model cardboard type.

hmmm i dont know if they are, im thinking not because i fixed my cold start bogging issue (vacum leak was present, fixed it, which fixed bog) but there is still a hesitation at WOT, and it doesn't seem like its pulling as hard as it could (determined by it pulling just as hard at 3/4 except minus the hesitation). so basically i think it is either secondaries not opening, or maybe not enough fuel headin the carbs way, any opionions as to which way it is more likely to be?
