I have to get a cowl scoop for clearance. I have an 88 iroc with 383, performer rpm intake, edelbrock 1407 carb and 14x3 air cleaner. Will a 2.5" cowl scoop be enough?

I've got a 2 1/2" cowl hood over the same setup, you should have enough clearance.

The 4" scoop I ordered from Jeg's was on back order and would be 2 weeks before I got it. So I called and changed my order to the 2.5" which is $20.00 cheaper and in stock. I'm having it sent next day air freight with the $20 extra, so I'll have it tomorrow. I got it converted 2 weeks ago and I have driven it around with the hood off. It's gonna be nice to drive it every day without having to take the hood off. Thanks for the info.
