L-69 vs LG4 carb questions
Well, my q-jet died. Dumping so much gas, it isnt even funny. Now rather that rebuild the stock LG4 carb, I have access to an L-69 carb. Would this help me out any in the land of performance? I heard they have different secondary metering rods and hangers. BTW, my car is an 83 T/A, all stock w/ 3.73 gears, punched cat, bumped timing, and a 74,000 LG4. Please help, as i need to drive my car everyday. Thanks guys (and gals)

There will probably be a little more power, but you won't notice it. The carb isn't the weak spot of the LG4 it's really mostly the cam's fault.
BTW Nice time w/ the T/A I won't see 15's for a while myself.

If the L69 carb is in good shape it should work fine.
The only differences are on the secondary side as far as i've known, the air vavle may open farther, and the metering rods and hangers are certainly better.
Put that on it will probalby have a bit better power.
Buy a rebuild kit and redo the lg4 one keep a spare
